Council, Boards and Commissions
The Department is headed by Clerk to Council. Sectors under this department include; District Service Commission (DSC), District Land Board (DLB), District Public Accounts Committee (DPAC), and Contracts Committee (CC), and its functions are:
 To set and approve policies geared towards sustaining development by council and DEC
 To monitor and evaluate all government programs in the district by-DEC
 To ensure transparency and accountability in use of district resources-District PAC
 Exercise disciplinary controls-DSC
 LG staff recruitment services to be conducted-DSC
 Handle LG Land management services-Land board
 LG Political and executive oversight-Council and DEC
 Carry out Standing Committee Services-Council
 Approve contracts
