Council, Boards and Commissions
The Department is headed by Clerk to Council. Sectors under this department include; District Service Commission (DSC), District Land Board (DLB), District Public Accounts Committee (DPAC), and Contracts Committee (CC), and its functions are:
To set and approve policies geared towards sustaining development by council and DEC
To monitor and evaluate all government programs in the district by-DEC
To ensure transparency and accountability in use of district resources-District PAC
Exercise disciplinary controls-DSC
LG staff recruitment services to be conducted-DSC
Handle LG Land management services-Land board
LG Political and executive oversight-Council and DEC
Carry out Standing Committee Services-Council
Approve contracts
