This Department is headed by the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) and its functions are:
 Prepare financial reports
 Give guidance to the District council on financial matters
 Raise revenue to finance the district budget
 Manage budget expenditures and minimize losses and also ensure adherence to approved work plans and budget
 Local Government Financial Management services
 Collection and Management of revenue in the District
 Preparing annual Budgets that are approved by council
 Integrated Financial Management System
 Make release allocations to departments
